Once in a while, something comes up that makes you say “wow”. For me, the WowWee Rovio Wi-Fi Enabled Robotic WebCam is a real tempting purchase. If you’re planning to take a vacation this holiday season, you might just want to consider getting the Rovio to keep track of what’s happening at home.

What’s the most important thing about a personal computer? Well, for me, it must keep running and help me get my work done. On a day to day basis, I use an Apple iBook. In this day of commodity PCs, what makes one PC different from another? If I’m forced to choose a PC, I would probably get a Dell. There’s a story behind that, of course.

Where do you do your electronics shopping? For me, I am buying more and more things online. I would go to a normal shop to look at equipment and for some touch and feel, but then I would go online, do some price comparison, and purchase from the store that gives the best deal.

If have done any traveling by air in recent years, I’m sure you’ve met with metal detectors. Metal detectors are beginning to appear in many more places such as courtrooms, office buildings and even night clubs and schools. They may pose a minor annoyance to us as a visitor, but if you’re in charge of security in a facility, then metal detectors make your job a bit more easier.

Do you know what’s happening around your home? With the rising rate of crime, it is quite a challenge to keep your house secured. I am away from my house most of the time (think 12-14 hours each day). Three or four times a year, I am away for days at a time for business trips or vacations.
One way to keep an eye (or really, a “virtual eyeâ€) on your home while you are away is to install a surveillance home camera. You could connect your webcam to a local server (usually your PC) or even directly online to a remote server (if it has built-in wireless, for example).
