Felix, the 6th named storm in the 2007 storm season, has now been upgraded to a full Category 5 hurricane. Category 5 is the topmost strength on the Saffir-Sampson scale. This is the same category as Katrina two years ago.
Felix, which has been reported to have reached speeds of up to 270 km/h, is currently headed towards Belize or the Yucatan in Mexico.
