The team at Equipped.org were at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2007, held recently in Salt Lake City. There’s a good report covering all the new gear.

Some notable new items :
- SPOT Satellite Messenger, a portable device that can used as a distress beacon as well as providing options to request help without a full blown Search and Rescue (SAR) response.
- PUR Purifier of Water humanitarian disinfection, a clean drinking water kit
- SAFEGUARD Emergency Preparedness modular survival kits
- Leatherman Skeletool, very weird looking multi-tool
- Victorinox Cadet (anodized metal handle) in new colours i.e. red, black, gunmetal, autumn orange and olive green
- new Benchmade Mini Griptilians with pink handles (yes, you read that right)
