What happens when you can no longer go to your favourite DIY shop and buy a spare part? Well, you make your own parts. Having your own machine shop doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg. Dan Delcolo shows us how to assemble a $200 machine shop.
The mini machine shop comprises of the following:
- drill press
- a cross slide vice
- mini chuck
- end mills
- lathe bits
- dial indicator
You won’t be able to do any heavy-duty work on this setup, but it’s good for small jobs and makes a great backup machine shop.
