Crackers from survival cache

It’s always a good idea to set up caches of essential supplies and equipment in strategic locations. There may be a time when you need to evacuate, or when you are cut off from your main supply. You may want to set up your cache at a friend’s place or at a hidden location. Just remember where you put it! Last week, a Cold War bunker was found in Brooklyn Bridge.

The bunker, dating from the late fifties/early sixties, was located at the top floor of a 3-floor building. The cache included water drums and boxes of medical supplies, such as tourniquet bandages and an intravenous drip. There were also cans of high-calorie crackers with instructions to consume 10,000 calories a day per person.
